Chiasa reached for Florian, but he had already gone. She pouted softly and tucked her hair behind her ears. "Fuse a crystal with my heart? That sounds...invasive! Is it invasive?" Her face grew concerned and she frowned. "Will it hurt?" Chiasa looked away. "This is a lot to take in...I just wanna be able to keep Traverse Town safe, not have open heart surgery...aaaaah! Is that what it is? Open heart surgery?! Floriaaaan!" She called out, a hint of fear in her voice.

"Calm down, milady. It's nothing invasive as that." Xerj told her with the same pleasant smile. "It won't hurt, and it won't require any sort of surgery. It'll just... Make you feel more in control of your situation." Xerj told her. "You've too much light for such a small bit of darkness to harm you."

Chiasa took a step forward and squinted, tilting her head as she studied him. "Okaaaaay...then...what exactly d'you do? You still haven't fully explained that part. Do I have to be awake? Or do I have to take some sorta sleepy-gassy thingy? And are you sure this is safe? What if something happens? What if, like, my skin turns the same colour as your hair? I-is that how your hair got that way?! I've never dyed my hair before, I don't think I'm ready to commit to purple for the rest of my life!"

"Look at Florian. Does he seem changed in appearance or action?" Xerj points out. "Besides, I was born with this hair-color. In any case, you'll be awake through the whole thing. It's completely safe and you'll have no regrets, I promise." Xerj assured her.

"Now that you mention it, he actually looks different from how I remember. I dunno...it sounds scary, do I have to do it?" She rocked back on her heels. "Can't I just go visit real quick and come back? I can walk, I have legs. I don't need a portal. This sounds like a big deal...Floooorian!"

"You should be careful... Upsetting him now isn't a good idea." Xerj said in a quieter tone. "As for just walking back... I wouldn't advise that, especially while Florian is indisposed. The heartless are only able to take my orders so well... To go out there right now would be unwise." He told her.

Chiasa frowned again. "Whadaya mean, indisposed? I thought he was changing clothes? Flooorian!" She scratched the back of her head. "I don't think that I want my heart fused with crystals. It sounds scary. So no thank you, I'll just visit by foot sometime." Chiasa took a step back from Xerj and looked around. "Where did he gooo?"

Xerj looked surprised for a moment, but his face quickly changed to a pleasant and smiling one. "I see. It's not a problem to me if you decide not to take the deal. You'll have to break the news to Florian, though." Xerj told her. "After he comes back. Truth be told, I've no idea where he is. It's probably not a good idea to go looking, though..." Xerj said with a slight warning tone.

"Why? Florian's not a scary person. He just wants people to think he is. He's just...angry with alotta people and things. I'll go find him and talk to him, I'm sure he'll understand. 'Least, maybe I'll take some time to think about it. It's a big deal, 'n big deals can't be decided on the spot." She smiled and called once more, walking away from Xerj. "Floooooooooriaaaaaaaan! Oh jeez, this castle is ginormous...which way did he go?" She looked around and then back to Xerj.

"That might be true, but he can have quite a temper, I've noticed." Xerj said softly. "I wouldn't advise looking for him... err... this place lacks doors." Xerj points out. "it'd be inappropriate were you to walk in on him in a private moment." Xerj blurted.

"Aaaah! That's true! Then I'll do this..." she closed her eyes tightly and grinned. "Whenever I get to the doorway of a room, I'll shut my eyes and walk in! Jeez, Florian was right, I am smart. Florian!!" She walked towards a corridor, calling for him.

Xerj reached out a hand to stop her, but retracted it soon after, realizing she had gone too far.
"What will you do, Milord, when she realizes your secret?" He asked to himself, when he was certain she was out of earshot. "What indeed?"
