Jaixe watched as it grew brighter and brighter and as he soared through one cloud after another. He was curious as to what he was going to find, and as questions kept buzzing in the back of his head. Questions he wanted answered. Questions he thought could be answered here. Though, whatever he expected, he certainly didn't see this one coming.

Jaixe was caught completely off-guard when the only warning provided for the sudden appearance of heavy traffic was a number of loud hums and zooms. Ordering the brake immediately, he turned and weaved through the traffic, miraculously coming out unscathed. Though the drivers that nearly hit him were swearing like madmen at this absurd driver from the lower levels.

Still, Jaixe could see it. The familiar, constant red sunset and the cloudy night sky behind him. He could see the seemingly never-ending skyline of tall buildings, platforms, various lanes marked by energy rails, and a rush of vehicles going to and fro. It was all so familiar to him now, but he wasn't quite sure from where. Still, he was drawn to the higher-floating platforms.

The higher platforms housed the palaces, thought Jaixe didn't identify them as such. Massive, highly decorated, golden buildings of wealth and beauty. He couldn't really appreciate their appearance, he was too stuck up on answers. So, being drawn to one in particular, which looked a little more rundown than the others, he began landing the craft mindlessly.

Jaixe launched himself out of the craft, gliding through the uncut grass fields and the untamed flowers and vines, his shadows in tow behind him. He was excited. But why? Was this his home? Or was he close to answers at last? But his excitement was cut short...

Crashing into an energy barrier of some sort, he failed to notice the light hum of the field that surrounded the palace and blocked it off to all outsiders. What?! NO! NO NO NOOOO! He howled again, pounding against the barrier that prevented his attainment of answers and truth. LET ME THROUGH!

Jaixe kept pounding against the barrier, dark energy flowing from the cracks in his body as he sent beam after beam into it, but to no avail. Likewise, the shadows, mindlessly following their master's desires, were met with no luck in clawing away at the barrier to try and make an opening. It was far too powerful for them all to handle, or force their way through.

DAMN YOU! DAMN THIS BARRIER, THIS OBSTACLE! THIS ANNOYANCE! DAMN YOU ALL! He howled again, this time much louder than before. No answers, no truths, no understanding, not even a meal to call this trip worthwhile. How pointless it all seemed to Jaixe now, and that pointlessness, his curiosity, his annoyance, it all enraged him to a level he had not felt before. I want to kill... destroy... annihilate! I WILL ANNIHILATE EVERYTHING!

Jaixe's nearby shadows also seemed to become enraged, their power increasing due to Jaixe's influence and hatred for all things. They changed, morphed, into something that more resembled Jaixe himself. Taller shadows with a more humanoid appearance, almost as tall as Jaixe himself in fact, and more powerful than before.

More Heartless were drawn to Jaixe in his rage and frustration as he lashed out all around, dark energy being thrown about with wild abandon. He was destroying everything as the barrier glowed brightly against Jaixe. The Neoshadows were pounding away at it to no avail before they all, in unison, howled with a passionate fury that echoed all around. Also appearing were two Green Requiems, bringing a small semblance of peace and stamina to the group of Heartless with their cure magic.

Jaixe slowly calmed back down, the once grassy fields now desolate and torn asunder. His clawed feet dug into the ground as he slowly shuffled back to the flying vehicle. His thoughts were racing again, against his own will no less. I need answers. I require truth. I want to destroy. I want to annihilate. why? Why?! What am I?! WHY CAN'T I HAVE ANSWERS!?

It was then that Jaixe remembered something. Someone actually. The warrior from before, the tall one that refuted his rage and hunger. He seemed to know what Jaixe was. Or at least had a clue. He had answers. He had truth, truth that Jaixe needed. He would devour the warrior to get to that truth, and destroy everything in his way. Yes, that was an acceptable plan.

He turned back to look at the other Heartless before satisfaction overtook him. A plan of action that allowed for all of his desires to be satisfied. He enjoyed that. His questions were silenced with this new focus, and the rage of his subordinates were silenced as well. They were docile, waiting for his command again. Six Neoshadows and Two Green Requiems. His army had grown already...

Jaixe created a Dark Corridor through sheer force of will and power, and ordered the other Heartless to enter it. Beyond lay what he most desired. Answers. The corridor led to Traverse Town, back to where it began. It seemed as though his destiny revolved around that world, Jaixe thought, but then questions arose about the meaning of that term, and he silenced them with anger as he entered the corridor himself.
