The creature used it's powers to travel to another world. The action took moments since this was the first time he had ever used this ability. A portal opened up in front of him. It was dark, similar to a void. The creature snaked it's was through the portal and to it's destination.

Dae Hwan exited the portal.  He looked about the area he had ended up in.  He could not think of the name of the place.  Racking his brain, not much came up. Shrugging, the creature did not dwell on the issue and began walking around.

The creature saw all the different houses located in this new area. He did not see many people though. It dwelled on this issue, but could not come up with a reason why. The creature's head felt empty. It yearned to know what it did not. To understand what it could not. To know who it really was.
