Midgar

Sector Zero

The center-most district of Midgar houses Shinra Headquarters, a massive, incredibly tall building of countless floors that seems to employ thousands of workers to run it. Incredibly heavy security as of late makes this building hard to get into, so nobody knows what really goes on in the skyscraper built by Shinra.

Upper Sector Cities

The entire city of Midgar is broken up into eight sectors on top of large metal plates, held up from the bottom. The middle-class and higher live on these plates, enjoying comfortable lives bought for them by the lifeforce of the planet. Every sector is unique, and each has a Mako Reactor to power it.

Lower Sector Slums

Underneath the plate, also broken up into sectors, are the pillars and support structures that keep the large metal plates from falling down onto the ground. Also here are where the less fortunate live. There are often dissident groups, rebel factions, and people often just trying to make a living in the slums, and it is all left unchecked by infrequent Shinra patrols.

Wasteland

A dark and dreary wasteland that surrounds the entirety of the massive city, it is said that there was once life, green and grassy. But where the life has gone is unknown to most. However, it is said that the Mako Reactors that power the city have taken this life to grant those fortunate enough a comfortable life... Is this true?
